Maybz on PC but me n EA Eexc's have a lot of history too much spare money n not enuf commitment 2 support gamers on consoles( PSN & XBL)- VERY personal IMO - but I have heard gud things bout the game itself. I played a Dev copy awhile ago and enjoyed it no end I just dont want 2 give EA any money till they stop being such tight disrespectful c*nts

OHHHH I LOVE BEING RIGHT..........

BFBC2 On release. COLLAPSES TOTTALLY ON XBL FOR 18 Hours 20 Mins...................... on PSN for 47 Mins followed by 1 Hour 12 Mins 2 hours later........................... on PC for 5 Hours with sporadic outages for the following 12 hours.

BOTH XBL and PSN report this is down to inadequate server resources which both orgsanisations warned EA about saying that Pre Sales figures alone meant EA's resources planning was woefully inadequate. PSN has a policy of automatically trying to route additional resources to peak demand services but when EA refused to pay for this the resources where revoked( causing the 2nd longer outage) XBL have a policy( From what I understand from talking to ppl there) of 'go with what we suggest or on your head be it'.

Ahhhhhhhhhh I will just bask in the glory of 'I f*cking told you so' and look forward to relish the next time they wanna visit Sony Towers

Yes it has been but 18 Hours is disgusting and EA actually saying - "No we wont pay for the extra resources you need to remove them users will have to accept it" is just them being them as ever - tight fisted feckers.

I'd let them off on it as I do normally because like you said theres always a few teething problems, IF they hadnt totally ignored everyones advice about their resources not being anywhere near what was needed purely on pre-sale figures let alone 'walk in' sales.

It CAN work. in the UK the retailers were unhappy @ Activisions insistance that MW2 carry a price tag of no less than £55 ( aprox $100-105) but guide priced £60 for the game and AV told them if they didnt play ball they wldnt allow them to stock the game. Consumers found out about this and a campaign was setup to make AV realsie they werent gonna get away with it - if for no other reason if they did everyonelse wld follow - 426,000 sigs went on an online petition saying "we will not buy your game if you insit on this price. we're in a recession and you are robbing us" - - the week it was launched AV/ IW saw presales in the UK drop by 38% - they issued and assurance it wld remain below £50. Yes its only £5( $8) BUT it was positive action by the consumer and I was MEGA pleased about it. Publishers have been trying to break the £50 price barrier for sometime( they dont tend 2 go above £44.99 because of fear of a backlash) but AV actively tried to bully retailers over this when MW2 came out which then gave the 2 biggest games reatailers( Amazon.co.uk & GAME) the confidence to say 'we wont take your game @ that price so go f*ck urself'. I DEFIANTELY agree that the above is a rare occurance but it does show that WE can make the difference - In a capatalist ecomony the seller only gets away with what the consumer allows them to.
